PPL(A)
About the training
PPL(A) – Private Pilot Licence permits its holder to conduct non-commercial flights in single engine piston aircraft with a maximum takeoff mass of up to 5,700 kg. Although licence holders are permitted to fly exclusively for leisure and sightseeing purposes, they are authorized to transport passengers.
The training is conducted in a weekend format – 6 weekend sessions every two weeks.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the start of the training and 17 years old at the time of the exams (legal guardian's consent is required)
- Candidates must hold a valid Class 1 or Class 2 aviation medical certificate

What does the training program look like?
Theoretical part
100 hours of lectures conducted by experienced instructors
Practical part
45 hours of flight time:
35 hours with an instructor (including several hours on a simulator) + 10 hours solo flying

Obtaining the PPL(A) License
After obtaining a PPL(A) license, a pilot can proceed with VFR Night or MEP(L) training.

How long does the PPL(A) training take?
If you pursue the theoretical and practical parts in parallel, you can complete the course in as little as 8 weeks.
