You will gain the most important qualifications for the CPL(A) commercial pilot license along with MEP(L) and IR/ME qualifications. Our course meets the highest standards of flight operations and will help you develop your career as a professional airline pilot.

The theoretical part of the MEP (Multi Engine Piston) training takes place in the center of Warsaw – on the 11th floor of the modern Widok Towers skyscraper.

We conduct practical training at the Warsaw airports: Babice and Modlin. The practical part of the IR/ME (Instrument Rating / Multi Engine) training for the IR(A) instrument flight rating takes place at the Warsaw-Modlin airport, which is a controlled airspace open 24 hours a day and provides access to ILS, RNP and VOR navigation devices.

Theoretical MEP (Multi Engine Piston) training prepares you to control a multi-engine aircraft. You will gain knowledge about the specifics of the aircraft on which you will train in practice, as well as information on aerodynamics and flight rules. You will learn the most important differences in the construction and operation of single- and twin-engine aircraft. You will also learn what a critical engine is and how to react in the event of its failure.

Practical MEP (Multi Engine Piston) training includes over 16 hours of flights and exercises on a multi-engine aircraft. At UnitedSky it is Tecnam P2006t, a model that is extremely popular and appreciated by students. During the training, you will learn to fly a twin-engine aircraft and practice situations that do not occur in single-engine aircraft. You will learn how to deal with the failure of one of the engines.

ATP(L) theoretical training, including exams, may take approximately one year. Practical training for CPL, ME/IR, MCC and AUPRT qualifications can be completed in up to 12 weeks.

The CPL + MEP + ME/IR modular training includes 9 hours of theoretical lectures, 40 simulator exercises and 40 hours of flight in an airplane. If you do practice and theory at the same time, you can complete the course in 8 weeks.

Theoretical and practical examinations can be taken under any EASA body.

All students who start learning with us have already obtained a PPL license. The next step is theoretical ATPL training. Passing the theory is required to take the integrated CPL + MEP + ME/IR course. We encourage you to take part in the ATPL course at UnitedSky, which you can sign up for here.

It all depends on the type and extent of the defect. If the defect was detected during medical examinations, you probably need to use correction and wear glasses. It is essential to carry a spare pair with you during flight operations. The permissible limit value of vision defect is -5 diopters. If the defect worsens, Polish legal regulations prohibit further work as a pilot.

Age: Pilot age restrictions vary by license type. In the case of training for a PPL(A) tourist aircraft pilot license, you must be 16 years old before starting the theoretical part and 17 years old before taking your first flights.

In order to obtain a CPL(A) commercial pilot license, the minimum age is 18 years.

For an ATPL transport aircraft pilot license, the minimum age is 21 years.

The maximum age for a pilot is 65 years, with the possibility of extension to 70 years, provided that regular medical examinations and health requirements are met.

Weight: There are no regulations regarding the minimum and maximum weight of a professional pilot. However, class 2 obesity (with a BMI over 35) may be a problem.

Height: There are no regulations regarding the minimum and maximum height of a commercial pilot.

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) sets health requirements for the pilot profession. Detailed guidelines can be found here.

Before registering for training, we recommend a doctor’s visit and check-ups to make sure that there are no contraindications to work in the profession. Before taking the tests and starting the course, factors such as obesity, diabetes, heart and circulatory system function, neurological problems and fainting should be taken into account. The research also assesses mental health.

All detailed cost information can be found in our price list. In addition to the amount for the course itself, you should also remember about additional costs, such as: landing fee and examiner. The aircraft rental for the test is included in the course price of EUR 20,000.

Before making a payment, please contact our office. You will receive a message from us confirming receipt of your application and further details.
