MEP(L)
About the training
MEP(L) rating is an extension of the existing PPL(A) license, allowing the pilot to operate
multi-engine piston land aircraft. According to Part-FCL regulations, the candidate must complete a minimum of 7 hours of theoretical training and at least 6 hours of flight time on
an MEP-class aircraft in an approved training organization. The MEP(L) rating remains valid for 12 months from the date it is entered into the license.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold a Class 1 or Class 2 aviation medical certificate
- Candidates must hold CPL(A) or PPL(A) license

What does the training program look like?
Theoretical part
7 hours of in-person classes, which can be conducted either individually or in groups
Exam
A passing exam result leads to the endorsement being added to the license
Practical part
A minimum of 6 hours of flight time
